Ion Fury: Aftershock

Ion Fury: Aftershock is a massive expansion to one of the best modern retro shooters, powered by the legendary Build Engine.

The storyline picks up right where the original left off: Shelley “Bombay” Harrison’s well-deserved rest at the bar is interrupted by another attack from the escaped Dr. Heskel, prompting her to take up arms again and set out to hunt down the mad scientist. The gameplay retains the frantic pace of an old-school boomer shooter, with its exploration of intricate levels, the search for hidden secrets, and close-quarters firefights, but has received a huge infusion of fresh excitement. The add-on’s main innovation is the introduction of a fast-moving combat hoverbike with plasma missiles, temporarily transforming the game into a dynamic action game on wheels with high-speed shooting. Shelley’s arsenal has been expanded with new types of ammunition, including incendiary shotgun shells, as well as a heavy wave cannon that tears apart crowds of updated cyborgs and cultists. On mobile devices, the game impresses with excellent responsiveness when customizing touch buttons or connecting a gamepad, and the gyroscope allows you to fine-tune the aim of your trusty revolver while on the go.
