Sonic Advance International

Back in 2011, Sonic Advance was released on Android devices via a Japanese mobile service called “Puyo Puyo! Sega”. Then, a demo named “Sonic Advance Lite” has been released on Google Play Store in 2013. And recently, a Chinese version of the Android port published by a company named eGame has been archived on the Internet.

Sonic Advance International is a mod of Sonic Advance’s Android port that gives quality of life improvements to the game and extra features such as a Language Select Option, as well as an Auto-Language Detection. This mod also features modifications and improvements from the previous versions (Translation + GBA mix, Anniversary Mods Pack and MOST Mods).

Here are the new features and improvements that the International mod provides:

MULTI-LANGUAGE FEATURE

• Language Select Option (English, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portugueuse, German, Italian, Russian, Japanese and Chinese)
• Auto-Language Detection
• Full-Game Text Translations

NEW CHARACTER ABILITIES

• Descend Dash for Sonic (pressing B while jumping)
• Flight Cancelling for Tails (pressing B while flying)
• Aerial Uppercut for Knuckles (pressing B while jumping)

QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENTS

• Sound Effect Lag Fixed (in exchange of a longer load time when the Tips Loading Option is OFF on certain Android devices)
• Title Screen to Game Opening Transition Fixed
• Game Controller Support
• Compatible with Sketchware Pro for Java programming (Game Source Code available in the Extra Public Downloads section)

SOUNDTRACK SELECT

• MIDI or GBA MIX (with remixed X-Zone Boss Themes)
• Replace Sound Enable in game boot
• Soundtrack Option in Pause Options Menu

• Tips Screen (Loading) Option (when turned OFF, the load time depends on your Android device)

CHEAT CODE AND HIDDEN GAME MODE

The new version of Sonic Advance International features a cheat code to access all stages in the game with all Chaos Emeralds!

During the TOUCH THE SCREEN prompt, press 7 times on the BACK button of the Android navigation bar. Once done correctly, you can hear the Sonic Hacking Contest jingle.

Exclusive to this game version is a hidden co-op game mode. To unlock this game mode, activate the cheat and go to the character select menu. Then, go to Amy Rose and press the right arrow. Once done correctly, the character select will reappear and the SHC jingle will play. You will then see both Sonic with Tails.

In the character select menu, you have the option of 4 duos:

• Sonic & Tails
• Tails & Sonic
• Knuckles & Amy
• Amy & Knuckles

DISCLAMER: This game mode is hidden, because it is unfinished and causes soft-locks during certain situations.
